I was wondering if anyone could help me out and give me some dimensions
or guidelines for depths on braces for a 14 series Taylor size guitar. I also
am looking for some blueprints for bracing for a standard martin guitar.
Anyone? Thanks.

Ross

Welcome aboard Rossy.

What Martin you looking for? John Hall of Blues Creek Guitars seems to be the resident Martin guru. See if he chimes in.

Hi Ross, welcome to the OLF, you will be able to get a Martin standard blueprint from either Stew-Mac or LMI or perhaps from one of our sponsors, for the Taylor one though, someone else will probably answer you soon!

Good to have you here!

Thanks for the reply Ronn and for the welcome. This seems like a great
community. Would you happen to know the depths of the braces as well?
Thanks again.

Hey Serge,

Again, thanks for the welcome. That's awesome. I'll check those places. I
actually bought a few things from them already for the guitar I'm making.
For you too, would you have an idea on the depths of those braces. I
actually have a blueprint from John Mayes for the bracing (or my friend does
that he can't find) but I'm still tyring to get some idea of the depth of those
braces. Any thoughts? Thanks again.

Ross

Sorry Ross, i can't help you much at this hour, but i can check tomorrow when i'm at the shop, in the meantime, maybe you could check at Srew mac, i know there's PDF file that you can download for free, for people who buy the kits from them, they might have what your looking for in the file, search under kits!

Hope this helps!
