Anybody know where I can get sheets of teflon accurately sized in demensions useful for pearl purfling? I am thinking specifically of .o5 inches thick sheets that I can slice up myself and save a little money over buying the strips individually.

TIA
John

John, I just bought some .020 from McMaster Carr. I'm not sure if they have .05 but it would be worth a check.

John,

you could try McMaster for this, but I'm not sure how cost effective it would be...for example, a sheet of 1/16" thick x 36" x 12" sells for about $43.50.russ38803.3491898148

Those little strips are about 5 dollars for a 1/16 x 1/16 x 36 inch. That would make them worth about 80 dollars an inch of material.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the leads.

John I don't think you will find .050 thick teflon sheets. I could be wrong but .020 is a std thickness for the plastics industry but the nearest std thickness to .050 is going to be .063 or 1/16"
