Russell, great sound file and very refined guitar! . Could you put this guitar in it's case please? Makes me a bit nervous to see this beautiful musical instrument in this unorthodox position!

Russell,

Sounds very nice - round sound and nice note separation. Bet it sounds even better live. Is that you tickling the strings?

Up to your usual very high standard Russell, nice balance and great separation as Dave said. I'd like to hear a bit of Davy Graham on it. In fact send it to me and I'll try some! OK I know the customer already has it but he won't mind.

Can't wait to build one with Andy's Walnut, only got three sets . I like the peg head shape makes much more sense logically to have the taper that way for the string path over the nut.

You build guitars that look and more importantly sound as they should, you'll go a long way in this business if there's any justice.

Hi All

Thank you very much

I can't claim credit for the playing (Dave I can't play that well left handed let alone right) it is its owner Steve Elliot playing.

Serge don't worry this one lives in guitar heaven now, in a humidity controlled recording studio.

Colin

I hope to have some more recordings of this one soon, as Steve is currently working on finding 10 of his Artists to play a track on the guitar, which he will make an Avandel Album from RussellR38804.1656712963

That's great Russell, lets hope he can get 10 of the 11 best players in the country to play it, sorry Dave 10 of the 12 best When it's ready we'll swap CDs.

Russell,
very impressive, cleanly balanced sound. How was it miked and what was
it recorded on?

Author:  RussellR [ Mon Mar 27, 2006 11:34 pm ]
Post subject:

Thanks Bob

Craig

It was miked with one shure microphone to the front, recorded digitally using pro tools. It hasn't been mixed at all, just is recorded as it sounds.

Russell, very nice. Your guitar has a satisfying sound. Not only a delight to behold, but to listen to as well. (And that's what we want, isn't it?)
