A while back, I picked up a nice plank of Macassar Ebony which produced six back & side sets, four bridges, and about fifteen fingerboards.

I'm planning on keeping some, but mentioned that I'd sell what I don't need if anyone is interested.

The biggest challenge I'm finding is taking pictures of the wood. If I moisten the wood with mineral spirits or anything like that, the wood becomes dark enough that the nice black lines and subtle color differences don't show well in the photos. But if I don't moisten it with mineral spirits, the wood looks pretty bland. Maybe it's because I'm having to take pictures at night; would daylight give me better results? Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm not going for spectacular photos, but I would like to ensure people can see what the wood looks like.

I'll post some samples for now. Here's a sample of one of the back & side sets:

The back pieces measure 8" wide. Half of them (3 sets) are 22-3/4" long, and the other three sets are 27-3/8 long (for no particular reason other than the flexibility of being able to pick which part you want to use.) The sides are all 5-1/4" x 34-1/4". All have been thickness sanded to around .150" (there might be a couple back sets that I sanded to .125", but that was yesterday and my memory isn't so good). If someone needs them sanded to final thickness, I could do that as well.

Here's a sample of the fretboards and bridges:

The bridges are cut large (2-1/2" x 9") so you can decide whether you want sapwood and how much. The fretboards are 2-5/8" x 20-3/8". Some have sapwood, some do not. The bridges and fretboards have not been sanded, so you are seeing them in all their bandsaw-blade-mark glory.

I am willing to let go of four of the back & side sets, two bridges, and ten fretboards, although it wouldn't break my heart if I had to tell my wife that no one wanted any so I have to keep them all.    My thinking is that it would be a pretty good deal to put up the back & side sets for $200, fingerboards for $7.50, and the two bridges for $4. PM me if you are interested enough for me to photograph the rest of the wood, and if there is enough interest I'll take pictures Saturday when there's some daylight.

how were you planning on receiving payment? I would like a bridge and
fingerboard, and am flexible about sapwood.

Everyone, thank you for your interest. It appears I may have breached etiquette a bit with my post (don't want to tick off any forum sponsors). I'll hold off posting more information until I clear things with our gracious hosts.
