I got the box closed early this week. did not touch it for a couple days. Went to the shop last night and thumped the bridge area to hear it a bit, and I had this horable rattle I got the inspection mirror out and hunted the problem down. Luckly it was on the back and not the top. One half of one arm of the star brace popped loose I inspected all of the braces very well and that was the only problem. I had good squeeze out when I glued the back braces, tapped and inspected well before closing the box. I glued it back down last night. It was difficult to get to on this thinline but got it done. I took the jack out this morning and all seems well now. This is the first brace I have ever had come loose. Not sure what the problem was, but figured it would happen to me sooner or later.

On a thinline to boot! Maybe some old or inferior glue, perhaps?

Glad you were able to fix it up. I'd love to know what you figure went wrong.

With me guitar making is 50% planning, 30% doing and 20% fixing. I'd like to raise up the doing percent a point or two. Like somebody says... learn from others mistakes.. you can't make them all yourself. (but I try)
