John, they would be a bit smaller than archtop mandolin sets. The mando sets I ship are 7/8 x 6 x 16.5 times two pieces. Violin makers probably want wedges rather than slabs but using these mando dimensions and a bit of figurin' you should be able to figure out your bolt total. When I split for different instruments, especially archtop guitars, I am very careful where and how I split the bolt out to ensure that I don't end up with say 2 and a half sets! But then, all of the splitting I do is measured and layed out before the wedge hits the block, rather time consuming but we are shooting for a premium product and it deserves the attention to detail!
