I had four days to my self this New Year Holiday. and used every min. first I built a new bending form for an SJ to use in my bending machine that I bought from Lance. Then of course I had to build a body mold to go with it. That was the first day. The second day I bent and jointed and joined top back and side for a OM, Caucasian Spruce Black Acacia then cleaned the shop. Day three I built a new bowl profiling jig that will soon be available on the plans library. It cool. One jig with interchangeable router guides for 20' and 28' radius bowls. Day four I made 4 new bowlswith the new jig, 2 for gluing and two for sanding. Guess what? I have to clean the shop again Profiling the bowls is the messiest job in the world. |

Yeah your not kidding there, it is a dusty job. Best done outside if possible. I bought my last couple but your jig looks nice so I may give it a try. I need to replace my glueing bowls. |

Great job Michael, nothing like productive shop time. Over the two week holiday weekend, I took another commission, that makes 4 for the year, two Om's an SJ and a Dreadnought. I started the dread, (Black acacia/carpithian) bent the sides and joined the back and top, finished up a neck/fretboard for the LS/coco Om, braced the back for the LS/RW SJ, bent the sides and glued in the neck and end blocks and glued in the linings for the top. For me, that was a record amount of stuff in two weekends. I'm usually slow as a snail! |

Geez, all I've got done since Christmas is recover from the flu. No shop time whatsoever, and I've got to get it finished. |

Sounds great! I've been with the Parents, away from my tools and tonewood. Heading back tomorrow, but I've got a guitar to bind, two building molds to make, three bending forms and renewed side bending jig, inlay to finish on an electric, and then three guitars to get started on. Oof. |
