Are YOU aware that Mr. Cumpiano (of 'Guitarmaking' fame) has a website? AND do you know that on his site he includes some information on things he has changed since the book was originally published?

http://www.cumpiano.com/Home/Articles/writings.html

Did you? Well, that makes one of us.

I bookmarked the website last year when I was trying to get a handle on making rosettes - just never went back to poke around and see what else was there.

Don't be like me!

He's had a site with all that on their for many years....and it is loaded with stuff for builders to learn from. Of particular note, he talks about a Beginner's Mind, which should help to temper folks who are learning the craft. Take what he says seriously.
A couple of the questions posed by beginners that he answers are from me. He helped me immensely when I was first learning, and I go back on occasion to read the emails and the posted letters and articles he has written. I'm always finding something new and useful there.

Ditto Don. During my first guitar, Mr. Cumpiano answered several of my e-mails. Just as in his book, he was concise and left nothing to the imagination.

Come to think of it, I remember you answering several of my questions on your binding jig. Thanks!

Luthiers are an unselfish bunch of people.
