Thems beautiful dogwood flowers - me missus'es fav tree flower, and she knows a good one when she see's one! Nice view - mabye we should have a view {well not a competition but a comparison anyhow} I have a pretty nice one myself - Oceanfront property overlooking the Olympic Mountains- its a rental though

Yes, that is Dogwood. 
Here are a few more spring pics from Arkansas Luthier's Yard. You guys got any? Luthiers love flowers and pretty blossoms. 
This is ground cover around my shop. Not pictured but I have blackberry vines au nautral just off the deck too. One last Dogwood Pic, I love dogwoods.

Heres some older ones of Mine.. I moved so most of the outside stuff I no longer have. I did take about 18 nice hostas, all different types mostly variagated all large!. 3 of the 9 types of Bamboo I had, and of course the inside plants. Oh yeh, I left the pond  ..
that ones a butterfly amorylis 
WE had a patch of these corn flowers, lots of butterflys there.  
a few of the lillies we had 
an orchid, blumes about 150 or so blossums every feb till end of march. Mom gave me that one.. 
the pond, small, but always had 6 or more lillies in bloom and housed about a dozen frogs, and fish to.

Do you guys not have rabbits in your neighborhoods? As soon as something buds here, bunnies get a nice little treat. I was wanting to but a pond in when we first moved here and my neighbors informed me that the racoons would have one nice tastey meal and the pond would be empty. Do I decided against it and the racoons have to resort to tipping over my garbage cans for their supper. ARRRRG! Anyway, those are some very inspired pics guys. If that were the view out my shop window, it would be quite easy to get up in the morning. |

Man, is this off topic -- but fun. I love the flowering trees. Our giant jacaranda will be popping soon. Meanwhile my "office" is tucked away near a sliding glass door leading to our little jungle. This thread is getting huge, so I'm only posting a link to a typical view looking over my right shoulder. We have about 50 or so orchids and there's always something blooming year 'round. |

Beutiful View, I'd show you a pic of the view out my shop window but all you can see is my snow machine and my new sailboat, both still with snow on them  We still have a while before anything starts blooming here.

These aren't in our garden, but they are my wife's favourite flower. I get as many as I can while the tulips are in season. Every week

I've never seen a tulip quite like that one... What a beauty. It's not much use planting tulips here unless they are red. The deer & the elk eat everything but the red ones. Weird Huh? We had a goat, years ago, break into a box of Christmas tree balls that were stored on a high (obviously not high enough) shelf in the barn. She ate almost the whole works, but didn't touch the red ones. (She was totally unhurt by her greed) |

[/QUOTE] Paul, only luthiers of the proper character can live in their own peaceable kingdom--and we know these guys are characters! On the other hand, an inlay of a racoon tipping over a garbage can might be interesting...
