Well, what can I say except wow. Todd sent me these two "extra" fretting templates he made. I'd like to say thank you in a BIG way. Okay, uneducated luthier would like to know, whose scales do these replicate anyway?

Here are the measurements in inches:

1. 24.5
2. 24.75
3. 25.34
4. 24.9

Todd sent the two on the left he made. On the right is a six foot "blank" to make three more, one for a 34 inch bass scale I'm building.

N stands for Nut.

You can see here the Wfret.exe printout awaiting scribing and notching.

More of the same.

THANKS TODD STOCK, an engineer's engineer, and he fly's choppers folks. I just fly puddle-jumpers.

Thanks Todd for the additional information. I'll print this out and maybe add it to the templates with my Engraver, cause I'll forget.

Again, you nailed one, it matches up to a Alvarez 12 string hanging on the wall, probably the Martin 25.34.

Monday I order the stabilizers from Lee Valley and a Wagner from StewMac and I'm on my way. The Wagner is for tapering the back of the necks and for slimming down headstocks.

Thanks Bruce and Todd, i didn't have time to build my fret template yet but will...

Todd what you are refering to as being Dan Macrostie's measurements for the actual Martin long scale uncompensated, does this mean i have to enter 25.34" in WFRET instead of 25.4" to get the right template for my plan P11 from LMI?

Todd, even more confusing is the fact that i had bought my plan from LMI based on Macrostie's plan even though on the plan itself, it says in the cartridge that it is from Stew mac???

I guess that i should go with 25.34" then?
