Just returned from my men's group. A friend handed me a copy of the Fretboard Journal. It is Issue Number 1, Winter 2005, so relatively new. Published quarterly, 96 pages of good stuff.

www.fretboardjournal.com info@fretboardjournal.com and 1 800 614-9632 is the number in Palo Alto.

The Banjo's Tale is on page 36, A vintage instrument is born, Frank Ford

The Secret Life of Otis B. Rodeo is on page 52, Richard Hoover and the Santa Cruz Guitar Company, Michael Simmons

How Could They? page 15, A tale of desecration and redemption, Richard Johnston

Just to mention a few of the articles. I really enjoyed flipping through the pages and can't wait to get into it.

Thanks Bruce.

There is an earlier edition with David Grisman on the cover, very cool magazine.

Yup, seems they change it with each issue. Have you seen it?

I think the fact it's quarterly might just help it survive. Also, they limit advertising to so much real estate, I like that. More magazine less filler.

Howdy all-

I bought a 2 year subscription about 2 months ago and loved the first issue. It has lots of huge glossy photos and tons of info for builders and players. It's worth taking a look at if you have any interest in fretted instruments.
