Really nice Hesh, I must admit (being one advising against the Sunburst) it is beautiful.

What are the B&S on this one?

Hesh, that top is its own vindication.
A lovely compliment to the entire guitar!

Could you tell us a bit about the peghead inlay?
That's intriguing.

Thank you for the inlay compliment Steve. Hesh tried something different in this build and used all parabolic bracing. I really liked the shape and form of the braces, so went to my drawing board and created a bird using the same sweeping arches and simple lines using gold pearl to compliment the wood colors. I learned real quick that it is sure would have been a lot easier to cut straight lines out of .06 pearl, but we do like the way it turned out. I also learned to put the stopper down in the bathroom sink since it swallowed up that tiny beak the first time.

Great job Lacey, you sure beat my talent as i never attempted inlaying on a peghead overlay yet! Gifted hands you have and taste!

At least it's more red than Lance's...still, that was a shame. I'm totally with Colin on this one.

Beautiful beautiful guitar otherwise.

Of course, that's like saying a woman looks great from the back, and then when she turns around.....and...."woof".

Don,

It's really all a tease as you KNOW what she's wearing underneath

Hesh,

A man's got to do what a man's got to do ... I'm glad you are pleased. I'll say no more. Looking forward to hearing how the Klingon sound turns out.

Lacey,

Welcome to the OLF. That's a very good eye you have and the design is great - love the curves. Just don't let Hesh sunburst it!!Dave White38828.5209259259

Are you going to put Craig out of business????

Hesh, I was one of those who said no burst. Ok, you have changed my mind. That is a seriously nice guitar you have there my friend!

Lacey, I love your inlays. The last one was great and the simplicity of this one is just incredible! By simplicity I mean the design, not the execution. I'll bet it was a lot harder than it looks to get it done. Great job girl, can't wait to see the next one!

Disclaimer: When I said no burst I thought you were going to cover up that beautiful koa.

Lacey, that's just great. Very artistic.
I know what you mean about the small stuff--intricate inlays always take longer due to "hand and knee work" (now where'd that little thing go?)
There's far too much gravity around my shop.

Do you plan on working on other guitars besides Hesh's?

I love bursts - on solid bodies and archtops, but I have to admit that looks pretty ***** good, I cant wait to hear it -
I love the sound of koa wood in prime resonation and it should be a real treat to hear it with this bracing scheme!
Good work
Cheers

Charlie,

I wish Hesh had done a burst like your Les Paul on that top...that would have been stunning. Even I would have liked it.
