Anyone know where I could pick up a set of Cocobolo bridge pins....5 degree taper and slotted? I'm building a guitar now with a Cocobolo bridge, thinking it would look silly with ebony pins, no? I found some snakewood pins at Stew-Mac that might look O.K. but they are unslotted, not sure what to do with those.

Y'could always go with bone, to match the saddle...

You're the only other person I know that's used a coco bridge. (Yes I know others are out there....)

I used plastic with a tortoise type dot, till I get something else. I was thinking unbleached bone might be nice. It also is going to get a bone nut and saddle (they're currently Corian)

I'm quite sure those changes will make a difference.

I have 3 sets of cocobolo pins with abalone dots. 5 degree and slotted. I had them custom made for me before I had my lathe. Shoot me an e-mail if you want them

But I got it from Lance, and it may very well be John Oshoff's original design too! (That's why I only made 3 of those (modified) bridges, I don't want to be a copycat!)

Doesn't Bill Nichols make custom bridge pins? I could be way off here but for some reason I remember him doing that...or was it tuner knobs?

Sorry, I posted too quick...He does tuner buttons.

I had the pins made by VIntage Ventures when Betz ran the business. He then sold it, but I bet they guys who bought it will make pins. They were not cheap.

Re: My Website. I have not updated that in soooo long. I really need to do that. The pendulum router is to make planners for fretboards. I think I still have that tool around somewhere.

John, Do you use a small lathe for the pins?

Greg, I think ebony would look good with coco. Understatement is always better than overstatement!
