I have a guitar in the Toronto area and the woman who has it had it in at Long & McQuaid in T.O. to have the action lowered a bit and they told her there is an issie with the neck, Apparently bowing and twisting. Don't really know what they were talking about and will call them on Monday but wondering if anyone here knows of a good reliable tech person in Toronto who I could get to look at it if needed. I suspect it might just be needing a truss rod tightened or something but really don't know. If I can pay someone to rectify the problem (if there is one) it might be cheaper than shipping it back. Fortunately the guy loved the guitar and has seen some other Arvey guitars so did speak highly of my workmanship to the customer.

I think the 12th Fret Guys would be much better than the LnM guys - who I wouldnt let touch my guitar with a ten foot pole.

I second the 12th Fret folks -- they do good work. Also -- Tony Karol is excellent if he has the time.

Call Gary at GW, and ask him. He should know who everyone is in that area.

12th fret might be a good idea. One of my first customers (a beutiful Birdseye maple SJ with a cutaway) is the cousin of the owner so I might get her to bring it round to them. Big problem of course is that shipping back and forth from Northern Ontario is a lot. The fact that L&M Told her there is a problem and that the intonation is way off makes me wonder. Intonation was bang on and when she got it home the intonation was fine when she checked it. I hadn't realized Tony was Down there.

What a good idea Mario, (sound of Richard slapping forhead?. I deal with Gary anyway and he is a great guy. Your earlier advice to me Mario was great as well. Mario told me "when you start selling guitars, set money asside for warrenty work, you're going to need it."arvey38837.5432291667

The other place is Folkway music in Guelph (not far from Toronto). I know the luthiers there and they do great repair work www.folkwaymusic.com. 12fret would do a great job as well I'm sure.
