WOW...What a great setting for learning! Your students look like they love what they're doing...and from the looks of their work, it's no surprise. Oh...if I could only spare the time, I'd sign up in a minute. Robbie, you should be very proud of your school and mentoring effort. |
Wow, are those 1st guitars? They look great, and some of those look pretty ambitious for a 1st.
Brock, Those are all first guitars with the exception of a few second guitars. I have some really good and talented folks in the classes that might give us all some competition one day. |
Wow is right! A bunch of nice looking guitars there. Where do you hold the class?
Wayne, My classes are held at Red Rocks College in Lakewood, Colorado. This is about 15 minutes west of downtown Denver. I give two classes (classical and steel string) per semester. If there ever where enough interest I could also do an intensive summer course as well. |

JJ and Dave, Thanks for the compliments! I take this stuff very seriously and love seeing the look on people's faces when they have a copmpleted instrument. It is a real rush indeed. Some folks like Mike, J, Karen, Shawn Brandon, Kevin and a few more I might have forgotten are hooked on the OLF now. |

Robbie is a great teacher (patient, funny, talented), and you should see some of the "WHOOPS what happened there" situations we run into, somehow he always finds a way to helps us figure it out ...and that is all true because I don't care about the 'A' ![]() |
Great Picts It looks like you are training the future of lutherie. So many different body styles, cutaways...etc Can your students just pick what they want????
I like for my students to build at least two guitars with me before branching out and taking on things like cutaways etc. However, I have on occasion allowed a student to build their own design before completing two guitars. |
