I have a bunch of tortoise binding I need to clean the bandsaw marks off of. On my first two instruments, I just coiled it and sanded one side clean. Frankly, I found that method to be a pain in the part of my anatomy upon which I sit. Is there a better way? I've seen the cool little jig Don MacRostie uses on the router table, and was thinking about building one of those. Anyone here use something like this, or have any alternate solutions? Thanks, -Mark |

OK, follow up question. How does one assure a nice straight and even edge when you have a 51 inch coil of celluloid? It's pretty awkward for me to handle. -Mark |
