Thanks all, for the kind words. Bob, Ya lookin for some more of that stuff? Let me know if you find any. JJ, the gathering was great fun although it's pretty hard to draw a crowd on a weeknight like wednesday so unfortunately there were only about a dozen or so people in attendance. I did meet some local musicians though including one from Cool, Ca so that was great. |

I have a big plank of that white oak stuff and I was thinking of making an electric, which I'm not in the mood to do. Huhm! An oak acoustic? I'll have to think about it. |

Hi all, Sorry for the late reply. I'm still on the road, and not being near my own computer with my favorites saved, I don't always remember what forums to read.... I really enjoyed the gig in El Dorado Hills and playing John's oak guitar! It still sounds good despite the recording shortcomings, so it's even better than what you hear. Pretty amazing that people summarily dismiss woods like maple and oak the way they do. Maybe they should learn how to adjust their building techniques and their playing techniques first:-\ Thanks for all the wonderful comments and thanks again, John, for coming by!! Best regards, Howard Emerson |
