I was wondering if you all could give me the names and contaction
information of some folks you recommend for farming out the finish.

Also, what shipping service do you use to the finisher and also for the
customer? I've heard mention here of a special USPS service that was
rather inexpensive.

I have decided to not use KTM-9 anymore, and go with a nitro lacquer
and also a French Polish option. For those interested, the KTM-9 does a
fine job but I think the appearance of Nitro is better and French Polish
even better looking than the nitro.

On a side note, I will be listing my FUJI Q4 PRO HVLP system, which is in
flawless conditon on eBay...if anyone is interested in it...I will sell it
cheaper than the going rate on eBay. It is an incredible system and well
worth the money.SimonF38849.6180439815

I have a box that fits my guitar and neck side by side that I use to ship to Tony, I reuse the box for every guitar.LanceK38849.6234375

The shipping method is USPS Registered Priority Mail. When it isn't actually in tansit, it's under lock and key in a building. Not sitting on a dock somewhere or baking in a large dark brown truck.
If you ship it in a guitar box measure it first. Length plus girth can only be 108" for Registered mail.

Gary, no its just a HP computer box that I reinforced inside with styrofoam, its light and works great.

I meant case..
Interesting. I had shipped mine in a guitar case to Tony. That was probably 3/4 of the cost was the case alone. I might look into this more...

Do you wrap the body in anything after finish?
The styro doesn't react with the finish?

Thanks Gary

Yes I found it cheaper and safer to send the guitar in this type of box vs a guitar case. I wrap the guitar in an old tee shirt, then suspend it in packing peanuts, which by the way Tony HATES
