I could use some help picking some binding and purfling for a few builds--this is the toughest decision for me--too many choices I guess.
1. is a Martind dread--herringbone--real nice dark rosewood but can't decide on the binding? Herringbone purf.
2. Is a flame which will have curly walnut binding and back strip, but I can't decide on the purfling.

3. What looks nioce on gorgeous quatersawn sycamore?
4. Those of you that got some Zootman's asomw black limba, what do you plan to use on it--binding/purfling.

Sorry if this sounds so indecisive, but I've found by asking, some great ideas will come about.
Thanks

I always follow Cumpiano/Nathelson's advice. Just go with something that will contrast with the back and side woods.
My first was curly cherry so I used EIR binding. My second is EIR so I'm using flamed koa binding. Looks good so far.
If all else fails, you can alway use ebony. Black matches with eveything and anything...
That being said, on some light colored guitars (maple, cherry wood etc...) I've seen the same type of wood used but with a nice b/w/b purfling seperating everything... That looked very cool as well... Hope this helps.
