I'm building a jig and would like to adhere some UHMW to it. Does anybody know if there is a glue or epoxy out there that will do it.

I would drill and countersink then use screws to hold it in place.

Dale,

I'm in an industry in which UHMW is used a lot. The only times I have seen it used with adhesive is when thin stock is "taped" to a bed in strips to reduce friction on the bed. I believe they use something akin to a double sided acetate tape. As far as an epoxy or even a flexible glue, I have never seen it done. It is always attached mechanically (aforementioned exception notwithstanding).

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Steve

Thanks guy's, I was pretty much thinking the same. It would have just been a little more convenient if I could glued the sucker. Never hurts to check.

Thanks again

Take a look at the Loctite All Plastics. It is guaranteed to glue all plastics, including UHMW - Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. http://www.loctiteproducts.com/products/detail.asp?catid=17& subid=40&plid=661
