Hesh,

Your site looks very well done -- especially for a first attempt. Reminds me that I really need to get off my duff and work on mine some more. So, I have a practical question -- what kind of software are you using to design your site?

Best,

Michael

Congratulations Hesh and Lacey! Looks all good , probably more work involved in there that i would suspect, really different and tasteful, and it goes straight to the point. Building pics are good to have on such a website for the non-initiated because IMHO, it adds to the charm of our craft and it is one of the reasons why people are attracted to the idea of buying custom made instruments. Perhaps you already had planned for more pics of that type?

Another selling point you might want to consider is the family, the couple and even your dog, people want to see your weet faces, they wanna know who they'd be dealing with, and most of all, in the back of their minds, they like people who share the same values.

All and all Hesh and Lacey, it looks great, i just gave you both an honest opinion!

Thanks for this clarification Hesh, i probably wrote my appreciation of your website with my own assumptions as i always do (sigh) , thinking like i would if i were to create my own website, having the " What if ..?" or " maybe" at the back of my mind, not shutting any doors to any opprrtunity but not opening them too wide also, i do understand where you're coming from and it makes plenty of sense to my ears, and i will always respect what my bud Hesh wants to do with his love of the craft!

WAY TO GO BROTHER!

Looks like you're up & running Heshtone! What a great start-up. I do hope you sell a ton of them...They are certainly worthy.
So with this said I don't give a rat's D****N****T what any one thinks of my site but me
Woooh!! That's good!! Now we can tell the truth, your site stinks, BIG TIME!!!

Actually, it doesn't stink! I logged on yesterday or thursday when I saw it under one of your replies. I think it's well done.

I've done a little work on sites, and what I always tell people, even if it is commercial, is that it's more like a business card. It makes it easy to show people what you do.

It does make business easier because, if somebody wants your phone number or ..., they can go to your site. It isn't just sales.

And for single guys it great because when you meet chicks, you can go Hey baby! Hey Babaay!! billydeanheskeen.com (this is an OLF computer-enhanced scenario, don't look for it, it ain't there ).

And admit it, Hesh, if big money comes slithering around and finds heshtone.com , you are going to build, You can admit it! Where all brothers here!

Well I like it greatly. And I love the peace guitar. I'll be doing something like that at some point...I'd love to hear it.

Hesh, here's a thought--on the "About Us" page, down at the bottom, where Lacey's bird inlay is located, why not also put her "peace" inlay, and then a few sentences on how she came to those designs?
I remember her giving a brief description about the bird inlay on a past post, and it was quite interesting.

Just that...a thought...

Steve

P.S. Like the site!

Hey Hesh

I like it, and I like your reason for having it. It's a site to share and to let
us appreciate. One critique I have is the blue text color. For me, it
doesn't fit with the organic colors in all the guitars and pictures. One I
would recommend is #414141. I'm only sharing my response to it
because you mentioned it's a work in progress and that you're new to it.

All in all, pretty cool :) Do you have more builds to put up?

Very nice...I so need to get off my lazy butt and add pictures and more content to my website (which has a bit more personal info on it, and is mostly geared towards getting people addicted to guitar making/showcasing how one specific avid amateur does things, and yes, showing off some of my own work).

Start of a good site there Hesh. I think you'd get more hits though if you'd called it "Bathroom Beauties".
Thanks again every one.

Some of the best sites I have seen in terms of content, artistic/stylized impact, and warmth are Sylvan Wells site, Lances, and Marios.

Serge Lance is a very good example of the establishment of a life long relationship with the potential buyer/customer and he gets an A+ for the relationship sell. Slyvans is a craftsman extroninaire site, and Mario has a detail level that makes him a great teacher/ mentor (if he in not grumpy that day (just kidding Mario). Check them out they are all first rate and inspirational to me.

Hesh, i love that idea of you sharing freely with the rest of the world, what better contagious guy to deliver it than you? None! Ok, maybe ME! Sounds like your goal is way better than i thought at first, looking more like Kathy Matsushita's way of doing things if i may compare the 2 approaches together. Where is Kathy when we need her? Whatever is motivating you to do it this way is very noble my friend and i admire you for doing it, i will benefit from it and so will many newbs like me so on behalf of all of them, THANK YOU!

I also agree more than you think about Lance, Sylvan and Mario, like KathyM and Charlie Hoffman, they get a special place in my heart just for the generosity they have shown towards us lovers of this great and awesome craft!

Again bud, Congrats on your website!
