I'm in the market to buy a HVLP spray system. Looking to spend in the $500 to $600 range. Any recommendations or pitfalls I should know about?

Wagner. Works great. Can use anything in it and it heats some out of hose at 98+ degrees (not confirm that but what read somewhere) can confirm lacquer or ktm 9 heated pretty well out of nozzle. This is due to turbines. Mine is 3 turbin and think 2600 model but down in shop so maybe different number. Comes great 25 ft hose which is better material than some others (again from what read in various consumer reports and an online test comparison. Highly recommend it

I have a Fuji Spray, an older one that I use to spray KTM. Works pretty good, just took some getting used to so I don't get orange peel anymore. I think that you can get one easily in your price range. Pretty well made unit, but noisy (I think the new ones are quieter).

I have the Fuji Q3 and it is very sweet, and not too loud. I purchased the optional small cups and they are perfect for spraying guitars. I use it with KTM and it works great.
Fuji also have wonderful customer service, can't recommend them enough!
