Good morning to you all

For the first week of June, 2006 I will offering a flat shipping rate of $20 USD per set. Delivery time would be Air Mail 3-10 days. So if you are keen to acquire some Tasmanian Blackwood or Western Australian Sheoak etc send me a PM or an email.

I currently have in stock a good selection from medium to master grade Blackwood. High figured Blackwood and Lace Sheoak bindings are also avaliable.

regards

Tim Australian Tonewoods

Tim $20 a set airfreight to the USA! That is literally less money than it cost me in fuel to drive the 45min up to your place and back to pick the wood up myself.

Will you do me a 10c a litre fuel discount shoppers docket next time I come up??

Cheers

Kim

JUST IN CASE YOU FORGOT ABOUT THE GOOD SHIPPING OFFER CHECK OUT THESE SETS

Here are a few images of some material I currently have in stock.
The FIRST BLACKWOOD SET images (2 sets available @ $190 USD each) is master garde material showing figure and a vivid colour across it face. The tone and figure are magnificent.

[

The SECOND SET (2 Sets available @ $180 each)is also master grade but has one small knot flaw. The figure is darker with a more regular fine fiddleback. The side set are 4.75" wide.

[

The third set is Tiger/Flame Myrtle (2 sets available @ $150 USD each). It has a striking central tiger section with a contrasting pinkish outer section. The right hand panel has been coated with shellac to show the grain.

Hesh,

I would not use Tiger Myrtle as a top wood. It would not have the range that would lend its self to a good sounding top.

Now if you want to try a great alternate Aussie wood for a top try King William (Billy) Pine which is not a pine at all but is in the same family as Redwood and is a Sequoia. It has very high grain count 40-60+ per inch, has a rich orangish (pumpkin) color and has been used with good success. IT is plenty stiff along its length but because of its tight grain is less stiff across its width so I keep it a little thicker, about the same I would for WRC.
