Guitars #11& #12 Finished!

This past week I finished up the two guitars I've had in progress. I'm really glad to finally have them done. #12 is one of those that it just seemed like one problem right after another the whole time. It's not like they were mistakes that I could not fix, it just has not been a smooth ride like a some of my guitars have been. They both sound really good. #11 is a thin body OM cutaway. It has a red spruce top, EIR back & sides, and maple binding. The braces are carved parabolically. It has a nitro lacquer finish.
#12 is a modified Nick Lucas style guitar. It is extra deep. The customer came up with all the wood and inlay combinations on this one. He also picked out some of the wood himself at LMI and shipped it to me. It has a German Spruce top, Coco back & sides, Snakewood binding, snakewood headplate, and Coco fingerboard and bridge. It has two B-band pickups in it blended with a preamp inside the guitar. Nitro finish on this one also. It's a pretty sweet guitar.
Here are the pics. They don't look to good because I have to really size them down in order to load them with my slow dial-up connection.

Thanks for the nice comments Hesh. The pictures really don't do the guitars justice. They look so much better in real life. I have done parabolic bracing on one other guitar. Parabolic bracing in my experience will not give as much bass and punch as a scalloped braced guitar. The parabolic bracing does give great sustain, lots of treble, and good definition of each note. Good volume and output. It also plays just as loud and clear all the way up the neck. I love that about it. Did the bass continue to improve on the parabolic OM you made??

Great work! I especially like that NL. I had an L-00 beater years ago that I just loved. A NL will be my next one, probably in koa, perhaps a 13-fret, probably deeper body.

I have a non-scalloped parabolic-like braced EIR OM from an LMI kit that continues to open up since I first strung it up in October. Sometimes it goes weeks or more without changing, then it will take another leap during a night's playing. Quite a rewarding thing to experience!

The second one is really fetching to me. I love it's curves and solid
colors. The simplicity makes that shape and the great wood so much
stronger.

   Colby, those are mint! The german spruce top is out of this world! Your finishes look dynamite as well. Absolutely top drawer. I also really like your bridge design on the OM. Very nice indeed.

   If I could just ask you a few questions? Do you have your own paint booth? Have you always used nitro?

Your usual superb workmanship Colby, one day we'll be able to say "I knew Colby when you could get one of his guitars for less than $20000!"

You'll find that the bass will continue to open up over the next few months. I've got parabolic braced guitars that are five years old now and the sound just seems to be balanced all the way up. It's an ideal bracing style for modern fingerstyle, I haven't scalloped a brace for three years now and don't think I will again.
