Some of you might know Marc Durso, from the 13th Fret forum. Marc was seriously injured in a car accident and doesn't have any insurance. I am going to put parts together for a guitar kit and auction it on eBay and will donate 100% of the proceeds to Marc. Would anyone else care to join me? I will take care of supplying all the parts in this guitar kit but I was wondering if any of you would like to rally around to help a great guitar player who is down on his luck? I emailed Dave Skowron and I asked if he could put a banner on the fret to advertise the auction(s). Many of you probably have wood stashes (like me) that will last a lifetime so ... Just a request to help one of our own here in the states.

I see you have some top sets volunteered, but if it would work, I'll volunteer one of the famous LS Redwood top sets from my private stash...they are no longer available in the "real world". <g> If the top isn't needed, I'll throw in some abalone for the rosette ring. I would hope the kit ends up with someone with the abilities to turn the parts into a first class instrument. It sounds like it will contain premium parts. Let me know your choice.

Hank, you got a deal, I retract my offer of the Englemann top, I'll go look around the shop. Okay, here is my offering now: I'll toss in a Martin Scale 25.4 Ebony Fingerboard and Bridge, how's that? Marc Durso, hang in there your friends in the luthier world are digging around trying to come up with a pot of gold.

I will send a 5 piece laminated neck. Cut to basic shape from the billit,and needs to be completely done except to that part of it. I can do kerfing, fretwire (form martin)ebony with ab pins, let me know Stan

Okay, this is a bit premature, but through my relationship with K&K Sound in Coos Bay Oregon, I asked if they wanted to help out, and they did, by donating this Pure Western Pure Pickup system for acoustic guitar. I've been working with Lance to become an OLF Sponsor and get me a big ol' banner like Bobcef and some of you other rich guys, grin. Anyway, as an authorized dealer for K&K, the owner is giving the system and to speed things up, I'm sending it with the fretboard and bridge today DHL to Ohio. Don, I hope that's a Martin style 1/8th inch saddle, cause I'm sending the Martin style Bridge of Ebony and a slotted Martin style fingerboard of Ebony. The fingerboard is not radiused, but is slotted. I am right on the 1/8th inch, correct me if I'm wrong. I do have a new Martin nut and may have a saddle as well. I'll send both and maybe there will be enough for 2 kits.

Came in late for this one... Tim let me know anything that's left out and I'll send it your way, I stocked up for Healdsburgh and have just about 5 full kits worth sitting in the shop ready to be built... I'll even be happy to radius the braces, or anything else that would add value to the kit... The Martin bridge is 3/32nds of an inch saddle.... I don't know where I got the idea it was 1/8th inch. I've looked at too many catalogs to remember what I actually use.....
