So maybe it's just late and I should be in bed...OR...maybe it's because I have been bitten by the building bug...BUT...while I have been waiting for glue to dry on my current 1st build...I have decided to build a...

Cigar Box Uke....I know...it's sick...but...they are just too fun...

Anyway...can anyone help me with getting the fret spacing (scale) for a soprano uke???

This is looking like a good side project to keep me from getting WAS (wood acquisition syndrome)...although...it hasn't helped...as I am searching for a neck, fingerboard, bridge materials...the box is pretty much ready for glue-up.

Please don't lock me up...
Thanks for the help,
JP

scale varies, but the most common are 13.5, 13.625, and 13.750

JP,

I'd give a pm to either Geoff Davis or Tracy Leveque, they are the ukes specialists, maybe John Mayes too, i'm sure you'll get your answers soon bud!

Thanks for the replys...I will probably end up with a 13.625 scale length.

Since this is just a small pet project, I'm doing while my glue dries (instead of cleaning the shop) I'm sure this will probably end up getting completed in a few weeks. I'll post some pics if things go well...

Thanks again,
JP
