What do you use as a base width for your nuts, and what is the width of the crown? I'm moving toward a narrower nut, I think it looks better with my headstock design. I was considering a 4mm base tapering to a 2mm crown. Your thoughts? |

That’s kind of a personal question Lance but I’ll give it a shot. Myn are way too fat. I like the idea of a taper as long as the headstock matches the angle. If I am seeing it right, this would help keep the nut snug in it’s place. One step further would be to slightly taper the channel and the nut so you feed it in from the side until it locks tight. I read that somewhere else and it sounded like a good suggestion. Wade |
