I have an inexpensive, but nice, mandolin from Lone Star with a slotted head. The tuners are terrible. Does anyone know who supplies decent replacement tuners that would work for a slotted head?

I've had no response from the company.

Hi Greg, welcome to the OLF, it's nice to see another Canadian fellow among us!

For your tuners, i'll let Arnt or others chime in to tell you where to search for them.

Glad to have you aboard!

Serge

Michael, are you sure Stewmac have them; I don't find them on their web site (that doesn't necessarily mean they don't have them, they don't list Waverly mando tuners either). I have never used any, but I believe International Luthier's Supply have them (but not on their list), you could give them a call. If all else fails, you could also post your question over on Mandolin Cafe.Arnt38881.1567476852

Schaller do tuners with interchangeable posts, although you have to buy the slot-head posts separately. Gotoh make mandolin tuners for slotheads (http://www.hosco.co.jp/HOSCO_ENGLISH/Pages/gotoh_catalog/ot herinsts.html#Mandolin - their reference number is M120S, presumably the S is for slot head). I just got some sets recently from Allparts UK, although I had to ask for them specially.LouisianaGrey38882.2363888889
