The pic is JPEG type, under 15 KB and around 64x64 pix.It just shows a red x.

Hi Colby — here are a couple of ideas.

If the upload seems to work, but the picture doesn't display:

1.)The JPG format will accept pretty much any color mode, but Web browsers won't. Open the avatar in your image editing program and check the color mode. Make sure it's not in CYMK color or in grayscale with a bit depth greater than 8. If that's the case, just change the color mode to 24-bit RGB or 8-bit grayscale. Then save it and re-upload.

2.) If your image is hosted on another site and you're linking to it, check to make sure your filename matches exactly, including capital or lowercase letters. Upper/lowercase letters in filenames are ignored by some servers, but matter a great deal on others.
