Happy Father's Day!

I'm in Kansas, visiting the in-laws for a week. They're on dialup, so I'll be on the dark side of the moon for a few more days.

Thanks for the kind words. My son is at work today. He is 21, so I expect he will be moving out on his own sometime soon. I treasure every day that we spend togather whether its fishing, working on cars, building guitars, or just hanging out. Enjoy them while you've got them.

HFD everyone! My wife and 2 just took me out to Stix after church! (Like Beni Hana or Shogun)...complete surprise and they didn't even use MY money to pay for it! I don't have much longer with them under my roof, so now's the time to enjoy!! Now off to the big chair to relax for the afternoon!

I normally don`t get too excited about Father`s Day, but this year seems to be rather special. Both of my daughters are now grown up and into the grown-up world, the next generation has started, and they still took the time to come and see the old man for awhile today.
Maybe it`s the age setting in or the gray hairs growing outa my ears.
Happy Father`s Day, Gang!

Thanks and Happy Fathers' Day to all.

I had a great day. Teeneage daughters showwered me with a couple of books and a new hammock.

I wanted to go canoing...but thunderstorms were looming. So we went to a large antique mall a roadtrip away.

I scored a nice curly walnut table leaf and an old piece of curly cherry for about $9.

I got home and adult daughter and grandson met me at the car with a favorite beverage.

Now teenage daughters are throwing steaks on the grill.

It's been a great day!

I'm away from teaching for 4 weeks..so I'm in the shop full-time beginning tomorrow.

Well today was a bit special for me. My oldest, who just turned 5 gave me my first beautiful card he made and a water color of his little hands on paper. He made this at school, you see. I'll freely admit that I was all chocked up about it...
