I just got an email from the fellas at Access. They told me I could pass this along to you. Keith really needs some thoughts and prayers. It’s with much sadness I inform you that serious health issues have forced our friend and associate, Keith Rampey, to leave his position as Sales and Service Manager at ACCESS. Keith has been diagnosed with “genetic cardiomyopathy” and is undergoing treatment in Greenville and Atlanta. Keith called in sick on May 12th and was literally fighting for his life by the following weekend. Lots of prayers and a very dedicated team of physicians at St. Joseph’s in Atlanta brought him through this initial crisis. Unfortunately, Keith is facing a long, hard road to recovery. His cousin, Greg Watson, has added a link to his website (http://www.gregbo.com/keith) to keep everyone apprised of Keith’s condition and to generate some help for his family. Keith is preparing for surgery later this week to correct some pulmonary problems related to his condition. Keith was onboard with us from the beginning and had just celebrated his third anniversary with the company. Keith loved his job and he looked forward to serving his customers everyday. A great deal of our success is directly attributable to Keith’s hard work, positive attitude and endearing personality. He truly never met a stranger. Keith’s “right-hand man,” Kevin Leigh, has moved into the “lead chair” of the sales office and has done an incredible job of holding us together while we regroup. Brian Peck, the newest member of our sales & service team, will start full-time on June 26. I worked with Brian in music retail for almost five years and we are most fortunate to have someone with his knowledge and experience at this critical time. Keith simply can’t be replaced. It’s going to be tough in many ways to do the Austin show without him. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. And I’m sure he’d love to hear from you. You can contact him at the following addresses: Keith Rampey- Email: play8ball@gmail.com Cards & Letters: 115 Pigeon Pt., Greenville, SC 29607 As always, thanks for your continuing support and your patience and understanding during this time of transition. I hope to thank you in person in Austin or face-to-face at your store sometime later this year. Sincerely, Marty Harrison |
