Next week I'm going to be counseling at a camp for developmentally
disabled adults. I've done it three times before, but haven't in a few
years. Today when I filled out a volunteer app, this question came up:
Chronic ailments and handicaps? I answered, "An unfortunate combo of
narcolepsy and irritable bowel syndrome."

You should check out the DVD for a documentary called "How's Your News?" if you get a chance. It was made by some guys that work at a camp for disabled adults, they take five disabled adults (2 with Downs Syndrome, 2 with cerebral palsy, and 1 who's mildly retarded and legally blind) on a roadtrip across the US and they do man-on-the-street interviews with the people they meet. It's very funny but it doesn't make fun. It's a genuinely joyful movie, heartwarming but not manipulative or cheesy.

That sounds really cool, Jon. I'll put that on my netflix list. Thank you for
letting me know about it.
