Here's an update! What a great shop weekend I had. I managed to get my shop cleaned up a bit and fit the neck to the body of one of the Archtops under construction.

Looks great Anthony. I'm hoping to see one of your archtops in person.

Beautiful Anthony! So nice to see an archtop take shape after looking at so many acoustics. It's a nice change of scenery. Thanks for sharing, and congrats on such a beauty!

Looking good bro .. I guess it will find its way to my shop soon eh !!! I fail to see the requisite bottle of Jack anywhere in your shop though ... remember, I have the beer fridge just out side the door !!!

Hi guys and thank you for your kind words of encouragement!

Yup Tony this one should find its way over to yours for a visit towards the end of July. Bottle of Jack or beer fridge -- you've been holding out on me -- so that's the secret to your talent.

Serge I chuckled at your comment about "natural environment". I was so focused on taking a shot (with my horrible photography skills) that I forgot the backdrop was a bandsaw, shelf full of jigs and camping gear...

I am now inspired to finish mine, even though it will not be anywhere as nice as yours, just need to make the neck and bindings and spray finish.

Could we get a look at your headstock inlay please, it looks like a buzzr\ard or something crazy???

Andy, that is a very good looking guitar! Even if its not done, it would be cool to see it "in process" at Bobs place..

Martin/Tomas -- this is the only pic I have handy of the headstock. It's supposed to be a Ruby Throated Hummingbird which are indigenous to southern Canada and east of the U.S. Great Plains. This was taken before it was inlayed and engraved -- hopefully I will be able to manage a better update shot. The bird is made from Black MOP, White MOP, Red Recon Throat. The flower is Pink River Shell with a Paua stem.

Hesh -- if this one makes it to Fort Erie -- it'll still be in the white. My suspicion is that it won't be finished till late August early September.

DARN -- I am having trouble uploading...will keep tryingAnthony Z38904.9267708333

Guys -- flipping through your kind posts it would appear I am being mistaken for the talented and prolific handler of zoot named Andy Zimmerman. If that's the case -- I'll start going by Andy (which coincidentally is what my third initial stands for).
