I don't know if this is the proper place to do this. Moderator, please advise.

FOUND at the GAL Convention in Tacoma on June 24, 2006: Two precision tools. If you lost them, please email me at mconk@oakesdale.net, describe them and you will have, miraculously, found them again!

Otherwise, they go to the Widows & Orphans Fund!

Mike, all expert amateurs welcome here, especially when returning precision luthier tools. Welcome and don't be a stranger. You can jump right in by sending your Luthier's Bio to Lance, so he can put it up in lights with ours. (see above)

PS To all you other newbies, you should really consider kicking Lance an email with your bio and picture.

Mike-

Email GAL and they might put this information in their "Free Ads" section in the back of the next quarterly. Thanks for being a stand-up guy and welcome to OLF.

Peace-

Howdy y'all.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm kind of embarassed to say I didn't even know this forum existed until I emailed Tim Olsen with the lost and found notice and he suggested I come here.

I've been building about 7 or 8 years. I've been a long time member of the MIMF (funny I didn't hear bout the OLF there!) Flat tops and other accoustics.

I'm a grain trader for my day job. I'm married to my best girl. We've been a "thing" for 23 years! I have three strapping young lads who eat at my house at an uncomfortable rate of speed (and have NO interest in guitars! Can you beat that???)

Anyway, between kids, the wife, grain, farmers and guitars I don't peruse the forums unless I'm stuck on a problem. Not that I'm a snob or anything! I just ain't got the time!!!

Nice to meetcha!

I could not decide whether to answer "Who is Lance?" or "What is the the procedure exactly?"

Both could be interesting

Well, Mike, in case this was a serious question (sometimes we get on a roll here and can't be stopped!), Lance Kragenbrink is the founder of, and driving force behind, the OLF. The procedures here are pretty simple: No cussin', swearin' or spittin' on the keyboard; no political comments, jibes or testimonials; don't try to sell stuff here unless you're a sponsor (but it's OK to mention other vendors, web sites, products and prices); stay away from religious discussion; be polite! That's about it. It's actually based pretty much on common sense.

Oh, and the most frequently used statement by the Michigan State Police? "You know the procedure, Kragenbrink!"
