Since I finished my first guitar, about 2 weekends ago,It has been impossible to put it down.My fingers actually hurt,And my wife may ask for a divorce. Are we all sure building guitars is such a great thing.I am so hooked it`s pitiful. Now I have to build a crib for my new grandaughter thats in the oven,So I can`t even start another one for a while. Wow that is really sick.I guess the question is,do you ever get over being so hooked. James W B ![]() |

No James, your sunk. You'll think about it night and day, and tell yourself that you'll get over it, it's just a phase. Forget it. Don't resist, it's futial. Instead, embrace it, run as fast as you can head on into it. Build a huge shop, buy as much wood and tools as you can. Even this will not make the feeling go away. Want it to stop, unfortunatly there is only one solution, similar to the ultimate cure for a headache...... ![]() |

Building an oak glider cradle for a grandson myself. It's a real race. The cuts are marked out on the oak and Macoy is due July 26-27.I'll be using my table saw for the rough cut, but all hand tools after that. Good luck. ( Was that "divorced" lawyer?) MT |

James, you're doomed like the rest of us, soon, you'll be walking like a zombie because of all those sleepless nights, you'll be seeing quartersawn stuff everywhere(furniture are bad for this) even in some food, we even had a guy starting a thread called "Quartersawn carrot" you'll see squeeze out in your hamburgers and end up full of debts in the next 6 months but other than that, your life will get better! ![]() ![]() ![]() A good lawyer? Nah, you won't be able to afford it anyways! ![]() |

Take this for example. I went to Disneyland 1-1/2 months ago and while at one of the theame restaurants, I noticed this..... ![]() Not all the little kids (mine included) having a great time with Goofy, but all the fake ZOOT on the walls. If only the Zootman had killer maple like that.....hummmmm...... maple. I'm starting to sound like Homer Simpson. This is just crazy. ![]() |

While we make jigs, one of us should build a lockable device to keep the credit card in untill the build is finished with the strings on and would only open when your wife says "Honey, all ok, the debts are gone!" ![]() |
