I will be leaving work early today to let the AC contractor in the house to repair the damage from the fire last week. I am so happy that I will have AC after a week without it. My shop roll-around evaporative is the only thing that allowed me to sleep this week It has been 100+ all week long
. It brought back memories of growing up as a young kid here in Odessa. from the time I was born till I was 8 or nine we did not have AC. Well that is not totally true. My Grandfather had a fan rigged and a ice block box that the fan pulled air from but we only used it on real bad days because you had to set in front of it. My kids and grand kids have never spent a day without AC.
They sure don't know what they have missed
