Great Job Hesh! I think you missed a spot on that bridge plate Very nice clean work. I noticed that the grain orientation on the 2 lower tone bars are horizontal and not vertical. Is that correct, or am I imagining things?

I too noticed the flat sawn lower tone bars, I don't think it will make to much difference Hesh, Nice work as usual. Time for me to jump into the HHG group, got the stuff, just need to try it. |

Just a sayin' someone wrote that a neat desk indicates a sick mind but in reality my friend, i'm just like you, there is so much dust a man can endure in his shop! It works so much better when every tool is in it's proper spot, i'll have to find somethin' else to tease you with now that you know that i'm a neat freak also!

Beautiful work Hesh, Your pics brought up a question regarding the go bars.... I saw these on the arch top guitar construction being used with a concave plate to (I assumed) help the top and back maintain the arch. What advantage is there to using the go bars on a bridge plate verses another kind of more traditional wood working clamp? Also I did not know that HHG has to be heated before using or did you freeze/refrigerate it and where just defrosting? Scott |

Hesh, you and me deserve a more spacious shop but you first, building 10 guitars in a bathroom is out of the ordinary and would make a great scenario for a movie, nonetheless, you always come up with something very tasteful and well appointed, i wish for you to get a shop that's worthy of your tremendous talent my friend!

Very Nice Hesh Your top is so clean!!!! Mine are always a mess. I guess that is one advantage of HHG I have some, a thermometer and a pot. I just have never gotten around to using it. One day I am sure I will be a convert. Thanks for sharing |

You know that a wc does act as a great cooling source for the notoriously hot laptop......you might want to rethink that move! Does this mean you will have HAS? YIKES!
But, I understand what you mean about the need for space. I am on the other end of the spectrum with a large home. My alloted space for this venture seems adequate, but is it really? Yesterday I went onto LMIs site to check out the kits: I've decided that I will go that route first. The site is WONDERFUL! It was mind boggling so I put the credit card back into the desk. I will try again very soon. My experience with woodworking and patterns is strong and I know that it will be a great help to me. I would be embarrassed to list the details here as most of OLF might find it, well humorous and the mass chuckling might be deafening!
My theory with starting with a kit is to familiarize myself with the process and build my techniques from there, of course with the help of my new friends at OLF. Sort of like growth through learned familiarity.
