Well, where was i? i think i had stopped at Tony's masterpiece right? Right!

Here's yo Bear on guitar dope!

Tony scrutinizing my Mom's guitar while Alain watches, thanks for the tips Tony, i will apply them to this guitar ASAP.

My bud Rich Altieri who builds fantastic guitars and asked me for advice, that was a surprise to me considering he built more guitars than i, he must have meant jigs both his guitars were great looking and great volume, especially his maple dread on which i fully agree with Anthony, was just awesome, great singer as well, Rich, you are a true gentleman and it was a real pleasure meeting you, let me know if i can help on any kind of jig that i have built buddy!

The pro builder and photographer being photographed while admirers are watching stunned by so much dedication to neatness and perfection!

My quiet pal Phil Marino, he was so quiet that i almost walked on him without him complaining! Phil is the guy who built his own bandsaw and he showed me a test he made at bending a side which was perfect so watch out people, this fellow will be showing his progress pics soon! Phil, it was a real pleasure also bud!

Lance and Theresa guitar talking at the picnic table, our Big Kahuna looks younger in person and what a builder! Proud of my Kahuna!

Look at this beauty from Lance, tested by the coach Tony!

Relaxed environment and pleasant feeling

Guitar heaven, opening a case was each time like opening up a chocolate bar, Man, i was having a sweet case of guitar attack!

My appreciation

I know a lot has been said and was well said about how it all went but i feel i still have a few more things to add...

First, our hosts were first class people with hearts as big as their swimming pool was, Rosie and Bob soon became My Mom and Dad for the week end and for the next events to come. Bob is not just a sponsor, he is a true friend to you as soon as you see him, i'll always remeber what you said to me by the pool Bob, it really shows that you love your family and friends first! BobJr and Connie are great hosts also and Man, the food, the food! Hmmmm manum Mama Mia!

JJ, you are one fine gentleman and it was a real treat to be with you for 3 days, i'll always remember your selflessness, your softness of the heart and your guitar playing! Indiana you said, do they shoot Bears over there?

Anthony , Your Archtops were icing on the cake, Thanks for the Corn Flakes dude, you also have a very beautiful family and congrats on your 14th year wedding anniversary with Tricia, you are a very special friend and hey, where's that thumbpick you promised me!
Will see you soon along with Tony

Tony, i can't wait to shake your gifted paws as well, i was blown away by your immense talent as a builder and as a player and that gorgeous BRW guitar was just delicious to see "live", thanks for all the tips to me and everyone, you da man Tony !

To my bud Alain, you are one heck of a guitar player, roommate, van driver, supporter but most importantly, my true friend, thanks for being with me there my brother! Respect Man!

Thanks to everyone who made it and made this event so great, just pure perfect week end it was indeed!

Serge

Thanks for the pics and info, Serge. Very happy for all that went, it must have really been magic. I sure hope to make the next one, but Bob will probably need to rent the convention center. I have a feeling half the group will show up next time.

My pleasure Ron, that'd be so neat to have have at least half the group there, it'd be like a woodst'OLF!

Seriously, while there, i have to say that even on that cloud of joy, everyone i saw mentionned how they wished more OLF'ers could have made it, i often thought of you and others during the week end but prepare that banjo for the next one my brother, we will play together one day, it is written in the sky!

I'm not surprised by that statement, Bob. Not at all.

Serge, I'm going to start practicing more on the banjo. I talk a better game than I play. I'm not really much of a banjo player, I just can play some songs on the banjo. Same with the guitar. I can play well enough to satisfy myself but I'm sure not in the same league with many on the forum. That being said, though, I sure like to play old country and bluegrass.

Ron

Great pics, little bro! Thanks for the kind words.

Ron...we actually missed having a banjo at the party.
But Serge stepped up his attack on the dreds for extra volume. He's not only a good picker but also a great singer...in 2 languages.

Also, Alain has an exceptional voice and is an accomplished player. The secret is to ply him with Scotch early and often!!!

BTW, we should consider doing an OLF gathering at ASIA 2007. We discussed it at the party but let's make it happen...it's possible we could take over a dorm floor or even a motel.

Does anyone yet know where the meeting will be held? Anthony thought perhaps St. Louis...kinda central US. Count me in for the meeting...anyone else?

I thought maybe Hesh would bring a banjo.    He's posted several pics with one.

I would consider St. Louis.

I'll probably try for St Louis. There were quite a few from OLF at the 2005 meeting in MD.

Hey JJ, nice to see you are back safe and sound after your 1000 mile road trip!

Ply Alain with scotch -- but not just any scotch -- it has to be single malt

The reason I thought St. Louis is that Bill Moll lives near there and there was some rumbling to that effect at the last ASIA that that would be the location. The location I suggested was more speculation that anything concrete. I think it might be time to drop Mr. Moll an email or better yet see if Brock Poling has any insight.

Brock -- any idea where ASIA 2007 will be?

I'll drive all the way down to the Rio Grande if I have to!!!

There's no way I'm missing ASIA!         & nbsp;
