I just got back from my trip to Africa on Saturday afternoon and have been dealing with the typical jetlag and time difference issues as well as fighting a bout of the effects of two weeks worth of African food in an American system. On top of that, I reinjured my right rotator cuff seriously while lifting heavily on the jobsite there so I'm scrambling to make doctor appointments to deal with that as well. It was quite an experience to spend an evening in the beautiful Nairobi hospital, though. Just another part of their culture to be able to see.

This is the first chance I've had to get to my computer so I thought I'd drop aline to the OLF first. I'll be pecking away at the more than 2000 emails that are in my inbox this week.

I'll post some pics as soon as I'm able and give a report on the work we did there and how the guitar held up on the trip.

Thanks for all the support,
Kevin Gallagher

Hi Kevin, welcome back!
Sorry to hear about the re-injury. This is what slowed you down so badly before, right? Hopefully you will be able to deal with these issues successfully, and quickly.
Just how does one heal from this? (Hope it's not inactivity!)

Steve

Welcome Home. Bad news about the shoulder...man, that's rough. Glad to hear the trip was good though, and that the guitar survived for the auction.

When you feel up to it, let us have a report.

Bill

Welcome home Kevin. Definitely looking forward to the stories and pictures too. How'd the auction go with the guitar? I'm sure everyone loved it.JBreault38929.8741203704

Welcome back stateside, Kevin. Take good care of that shoulder - no replacement parts available!

I for one love hearing about how we Americans commit blunders in foreign cultures. I'll tell you mine it you tell me yours.

Welcome back to the states Kevin.

There's no place like home, right?

I'm sure that shoulder will heal in no time at all.

I too look forward to seeing those pics!

Unfortunately. I know all too well that there is nothing fast about recovering from a rotator cuff injury- it is now three months since my surgery and I am just getting back to work on a limited basis. I don't have much strength yet but the pain is gone so I'm happy - hope you have good luck too.

                      Peace, Paul

Look forward to seeing the pictures Kevin. I injured my shoulder in a similar fashion a few years ago, it was slow to heal, hope you make it back to full strength quickly.

Greg
