Does anyone have the routing patterns for the different Tele hollow or semi-hollow bodies, or know where I can obtain them?

Yes. I have some.

What are you looking for, the whole shebang? I have templates for the neck, the body, the cavities, etc.

Do you just want tracings, or would you prefer me to pattern route them onto a template for you?

Either is fine.

Did you want the tracings or a pattern route?

LMK either is cool with me.

Brock,
would love pattern route but are you sure I won't cause inconvienience. I know how busy you are? Can I obtain depths of routs.

I held a Fender Tele, solid mohog. body. Geeeeeze, heavy enough? Because Mahog. is harder than ash, swamp ash, etc,can you route so you make the chambers larger and walls of cavities thinner to greatly decrease weight. How do you think the sound from body would be.

Brock,
Want to pay you full boat for everything: time, work, materials, shipping and any other monies-can use visa, pay-pal

I leave a solid core right down the center of the guitar from neck to tail, then route out the chambers on both sides before I cap it. IMHO you want to leave the center strip all the way from neck to tail to help with the balance of the guitar. If you remove too near the strap end of the guitar it will have a bad tendency to tip (ask me know I know? ....)

I leave the control cavity for the electronics solid before the cap goes on, then make that route after the top is glued in place.

I like the sound of mahogany tele's to begin with, and the routes give it an even warmer sound - but not a lot. I almost exclusively use Fralins in mine and I like this combo. But the biggest difference with this design is the weight.

Hey Brock,

I have patterns for the Tele for the body and cavities, but no neck pattern...is this a standard thing? Do you think the neck pocket on my pattern would be pretty much compatable with your neck template? If so, I'd buy one of those from you if you're setting up to do one anyway....??

PS..How's that Luthier's Showcase coming?

I do have a neck pattern. I have not had much luck interchanging bodies and necks. It seems like everyone cuts them a little differently.

I would be happy to cut one of these for you as well. I went to Woodcraft and bought some pattern quality plywood. I have enough to bang 2 sets out. I will try to get that done this weekend.
