I've heard folks talk about it a bit and even tried getting on it. It just seemed not too user-friendly. I heard the owner was offered tons of money for it but refused.

Could someone clue me in how it works and how to get around on the sites etc. Oh, and what's the webaddy?

TIA.

Craigslist is primarily a topics-based classifieds site. But it has grown into much more than that over the years.

I don't find it particularly difficult to navigate. Craig Newmark started the site back in the mid-90s, when it was considered good "netiquette" to minimize graphics for the sake of slow dialup users, thus it is almost entirely text based. His is one of the last few sites I'm aware of that still adhere to this principle.

Best,

Michael

It is great, it is a great way to buy or sell things to a local market -- you know the stuff to big to sell on ebay.

It is great to watch for good opportunities on tools.

I really like the text-only format. Reminds me of the grass roots, pre-commercialism days days of the early internet.

Bruce, to navigate, go to their main page, go to your country/state/city, then click on tools.

I stumbled on Craigslist while shopping for a Marshall 1/2 stack for playing at Church "
Found what I was looking for about 30 miles away from where I work!LanceK38936.6096990741

I searched for guitar and got eight entries, two were for mandolin scale books. Hmmm.

It was the only way I could sell my crummy old chinese vise!

I've seen some awesome old stationary power tools deals, but I'm always too late, often by minutes.
