Anyone know of a source for carbon fiber bar stock for neck reinforcement? I tried Los Alamos isnce they are a sponsor but they were out of most sizes and said it will be a month or so before they could fill my order.

I found some .125x.325 bars for around $15.00 for a 4' length. Would two of these be enough to stiffen things up pretty well? I've never used them before so I don't have a clue what I'm looking for.

Any help would be appreciated.

FYI, according to Charlie Fleishman there is a two month waiting list on carbon fibre because the US military has bought up all the stock.

Not sure who Charlie Fleishman is, but this would explain why I'm having a very difficult time getting vendors of raw materials to even return my calls. I recently had one vendor tell me that they just won't deal with us because we're too small.
It's tough for us right now and hope people can hang in there with us untill we get through it.

Jim, that's really unfortunate. It's tough for small businesses anyway, and now raw materials are short! Too bad you can't find a way to get a Defense contract.

Both LMI and Stew-Mac carry reinforcement bars.

Carlton, I saw the bars that Stew Mac and LMI carry. But after looking at Jim's prices they seemed a little high. Okay, I'm cheap.
