Would you fingerpickers mind relating what nut width you prefer for finger picking-and I assume strum at times |

I make my nuts 1.75 and like it for finger style just fine. |

1-3/4" and 1-13/16" are common for fingerstylests. Most are 1-3/4" with only a few 1-13/16". Almost all other Martins are 1-11/16" with only the OM and a few "artist" models being larger. Only a few years ago 1-13/16" was very rare. The common Martin sizes are very close to 44,45 & 46mm |

I've seen a rise in poplarity lately of 1 13/16" but as far as I know the standard is still 1 3/4". Fingerpickers seem to like a little wider spread and the saddle also, 2 1/4" to 2 5/16". Some even 2 3/8". |
