Can I thank all of you for the kind thoughts about my Mum's illness, greatly appreciated. Having been given 48hrs, she has confounded the doctors and is now on the slow road to recovery from what was a big stroke which caused considerable brain damage. There is still a long way to go with mobility, speech etc, but she is making a little progress every day. But, is likely to be in hospital for months yet (thankful for the National Health Service!). She's 91 years old so we can't expect miracles but seems happy enough. Again thanks for all you kind thoughts. Colin |

Colin, that is great news, much better that I had expected to tell you the truth! She must be a very tough woman. Yes, it is a great comfort in situations like that not to have to worry about nonsense like insurance and money... <edit> Good to have you back here too, Colin. |
