Well it has been several months since I have posted anything. I have been crazy busy, but I guess the good thing is that most of it has been building guitars or working in my shop. I haven’t had much extra time to spend on the computer. So I am a little out of touch with what has gone on here over the past 2 months. Anyway, things are slowing down a bit and I should be around here a lot more.

I thought you all might be interested to see a few pictures of what has kept me from hanging around here.

The pictures are of a trio of guitars that I finished over the past month or so. All the guitars feature Shane’s Lutz spruce and the two EIR guitars are Shane’s wood as well. The OM is African mahogany. The fancy one on the left was commissioned as a wedding present. The other two were built as demos. I just sold the middle one to a pro player from Scotland and will be shipping it over there soon.

Well I hear my shop calling and I had better get out there. Things are finally starting to pickup for me as far as the orders go. I have a number of guitars to build and a few of them are going to pros.

Let me know if any of you have questions.

thanks for looking

Impeccable. That's the kind of lawn party I can appreciate! And all your
guests are exquisitely attired.

Josh -- I've been wondering where you have been. It looks like you've got the armrest and ribrest nailed! They all look fabulous.

Thanks guys!

I really appreciate the compliments as I know many of you are building guitar that are just as nice (I usually think they nicer) as mine.

For those of you who asked about the finish, it is Mohawk Nitro over epoxy filler (sanded back to the wood). Yes I do all my finishing myself. I still have a lot to learn about doing a good finish.

Wow, Wow, and Wow!

Those are 3 VERY beautiful guitars.

NOOB question: Does one have a striped rosette, or is that just a reflection?

Serge, Whenever anyone posts pics I study them very carefully.

I even have eyes in the back of my head - a teacher requirement!

BTW: Were those boxes of Band-aids on the bench in the picture of your caliper?

Well Teach, i better hide the knitted socks that Grandma gave me 30 some years ago, they ended up in my shop by, i don't know, some miracle i guess and i always forget to bring them back home, i'll have to remember now that i know you keep a close eye on kids like me!
