A question. I use the Allied lutherie dual action truss rods. I access them
through the soundhole.
Do most of you do anything th secure them or just place them in the slot.
I have put some silicone caulk at one end to prevent rattle, but I am curious
what other do
TIA

I try to avoid anything with silicon. I use shoo goo. It's a rubber like glue that sticks to everything it smells like it's acetone solvent based. I don't think it contains silicone they sell it at Ace Hardware and at the Borg.

I rout the slot to the same diameter and just place the rod in the slot, then put a strip of wood to cover the slot and thats it!
