Hey Folks,

I'm looking to upgrade my tablesaw and I want to know if
anybody has heard anything about the new Grizzly 2 HP
Hybrid Cabinet Saw?

www.grizzly.com/
products/G0478

I want something powerful enough to be a good all around machine
but also accurate enough to slot fingerboards.

Thanks for the input and inspiration,

I'm planning to upgrade my tablesaw also. I haven't bought yet but I've done a lot of looking. This is the one I've decided on. Just waiting to see if it goes on the fall sale list.

Thanks for the advice Todd. I'm not dead-set on the hybrid concept,
the saw looked very attractive for the money. Your point about R&D
is a good one. I am looking for the saw that will last for the rest of
my working life.

I just bought this saw in the 5hp version (right tilt). It is very nice. I plan on doing a full review in a couple of weeks.

Fine Woodworking www.finewoodworking.com June 2006 issue had a review of 10" cabinet saws.

If you can track one down it may be benificial to you.

Top honors went to
Powermatic PM2006 at $2100 and
Sawstop 31230 at $3270

Best value went to
Grizzly G1023SL at $975 but the blade and miter slots were out of parallel and required adjustments.

I just have a Delta contractors saw Scooter B38953.5018518519

i had the grizley 1023sl.. and i added the router table to the top.. i was able to adjust the table parallel to within .0015 full lenght of the top. It was easy to do, stayed put and was a great saw.. I can not speak for any of the other saws since i didn't own them, but the griz was very accurate, smooth and powerful. I think it was a great value.

Thanks Joe I'm glad I am not the only one slumming it here on the machinery side.
