I did a search on cooking tops, but maybe I didn't look in the archives. Looks like maybe you already beat that horse to death.

I was hearing talk a while back (not here) about cooking tops. Some folks were cooking them in the oven at about 200 degrees F. for like an hour or so. Supposed to crystallize the resins, and prevent cracking at a later date. Anybody here do this? Just a passing fad? What are your thoughts? |

Read the archives and I'll be darn..... I believe baked sitka will be on the menu around here from now on. |
