Daivd, Get well soon. I've heard that knee injuries are the most common reason luthiers have to retire so early. |

We noticed you weren't popping in. Hey Dave, good luck with the therapy and recovery. I'm completely amazed with the tremendous success orthopedic surgery gives today. Friends and loved ones are back on their feet in no time with much improved function. Good luck and God's speed to you, Bruce |

Heal well & quickly David. Although you may need to stand to comfortably build guitars, I'll bet you can sit at the computer with your recently repaired knee & visit this forum constantly during your recovery. Skip |

Best wishes Dave. Recovery will be the perfect time to draw out inlay pattern ideas. All you need is a pencil and paper Craig L |

David--this will be a great time to refine your "couch lutherie". Write a book on the subject, and turn your dilemma into a lucrative experience. Or forget all that nonsense and heal quickly. I second (third?) the importance of physical therapy. Blessings to you. Steve |

Hi David--If it's not too late you might want to have them install a grease zerk on that knee. Nothing beats a weakly shot of lithium to prevent excessive wear and tear. Best wishes, Dave. Nelson |
