Lance,
I just wanted to say a Heartfelt THANK YOU ! Thank You for inviting me to join this great forum that you started some 3-4 years ago. Back when you first asked me to join there were only a few of us ( about 5 or 6 if I remember correctly). The forum has blossomed into a great place for all those interested in the craft of luthiery. But most important for me, it is the place where I first made contact with the many Luthier friends I now have(I won't list their names ...you know who you are) . Had it not been for You ( and later Brock with all his computer know how) I may have never gotten a chance to meet and talk to all these great, talented people. Or at very least, the friendship would not have blossumed as quickly.
So I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all you have done and all the effort you continue to put into OLF to make it what it is. You're THE BEST!

Welcome Dave!

I agree, our community has stretched beyond the computer now and in to real life.
Who'd thought all this just a few short years ago eh!

Like the morning cup of coffee, one of the first things I do is log into the OLF . . .

My thanks as well, and keep up the great work!

Best,

Michael

Dittos on the kudos!!!

This is the best clubhouse any kid could ask for:
...great friends,
...fantastic source of information,
...inspiring examples of craftsmanship,
...terrific deals on supplies
...and an occasional good old-fashioned towel snapping

Thanks, Lance & Brock!

Same here....

This is definately a great forum, I go to several other forums and see a lot of bickering and attacks among other stuff... here is different, looks like we are real people that really care about our craft, supporting each other and sharing each others knowledge!

Thanks!

I think it's been too long since we've had a towel snapping.

The heat has kept me out of the shop for nearly a month now and I don't know how I would of made it without this forum. It has definitely become a large part of my life.

Thanks to all participants, too. You are a great bunch of people.    I have friends all over the world. Wow!!

Ron

Me too. Me too.

Thanks for providing and maintaining this wonderful place, which has turned my morning cup of coffee into a whole pot. I hope to get to a real gathering someday.

As a newcomer, I also wish to extend my thanks. This forum has allowed me to indulge in a longtime desire -- to build an acoustic guitar. The willingness to share and open friendliness of the members of the forum is just outstanding. This is a great place to learn!

It is a recent discovery for me, but I couldn't be more gratefull for the helpful, caring environment. To create this has been a wonderful gift to the luthiery community! Bravo!
